Registration is now open for the Louisiana JEA Conference to be held on the campus of Loyola University. The conference will also host the JEA Louisiana Journalist of the Year Contest and the Tom Bell Silver Scribe Awards.
Forms to enter the JEA Louisiana Journalist of the Year Contest and the Tom Bell Silver Scribe Awards will be available soon and posted on this website.
The conference will feature sessions on yearbook, broadcast, online, social media, podcasting and newspaper journalism. The conference will conclude with an awards ceremony after lunch in the Loyola Danna Student Center. A separate email will soon follow to enter the Journalist of the Year and Tom Bell Silver Scribe Awards.
The conference will begin at 9:30 a.m. in Nunemaker Auditorium on the third floor of Monroe Hall.
8 – 9:15 a.m. – Check in – Nunemaker Auditorium Lobby – 3rd Floor Monroe Hall
9:30 – 10 a.m. – Opening Session – Nunemaker Auditorium – 3rd Floor Monroe Hall
10:10 – 11 a.m. – Session One (various campus locations)
11:10 a.m. – 12 p.m. – Session Two (various campus locations)
12 – 12:50 p.m. – Lunch – Danna Student Center St. Charles Room
1 – 1:50 p.m. – Session Three (various campus locations)
2 – 2:45 p.m. – Closing Ceremony and Awards
